A complete contemporary backyard project was taken to another level of design. This amazing backyard was completed in the beginning of 2013 in Weston, Florida. The project included an Outdoor Kitchen with equipment by Lynx, and finished with Emperador Light Marble and a Spanish stone on walls. Also, a 32” X 16” wooden pergola attached to the house with a customized wooden wall for the TV on a structured bench with the same finishes matching the Outdoor Kitchen. The project also consist of outdoor furniture by The Patio District, pool deck with gold travertine material, and an ivy wall with LED lights and custom construction with Black Absolute granite finish and grey stone on walls. The landscape of this home honors the formality of Spanish Colonial / Santa Barbara Style early homes in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. By re-grading the lot and allowing for terraced opportunities, we featured a variety of hardscape stone, brick, and decorative tiles that reinforce the eclectic Spanish Colonial feel. Cantera and La Negra volcanic stone, brick, natural field stone, and handcrafted Spanish decorative tiles are used to establish interest throughout the property. A front courtyard patio includes a hand painted tile fountain and sitting area near the outdoor fire place. This patio features formal Boxwood hedges, Hibiscus, and a rose garden set in pea gravel. The living room of the home opens to an outdoor living area which is raised three feet above the pool. This allowed for opportunity to feature handcrafted Spanish tiles and raised planters. The side courtyard, with stepping stones and Dichondra grass, surrounds a focal Crape Myrtle tree. One focal point of the back patio is a 24-foot hand-hammered wrought iron trellis, anchored with a stone wall water feature. We added a pizza oven and barbecue, bistro lights, and hanging flower baskets to complete the intimate outdoor dining space. La progettazione e realizzazione degli esterni della casa, quali il giardino e il patio, o l’arredamento di balconi e terrazzi vengono spesso trascurate. Gli spazi esterni vanno invece considerati quale biglietto da visita personale e realizzati e curati in maniera corrispondente. In questo contesto sono importanti soprattutto il cortile o il giardino anteriore, da abbellire con, ad esempio, un vialetto in pietra che conduce alla porta d’ingresso affiancato da splendide aiuole colorate e cespugli e siepi sempreverdi che delimitano questo spazio. Chi non si fermerebbe ad ammirare un giardino simile? La realizzazione e manutenzione degli spazi esterni di solito sono costosi e richiedono tempo. Sia che tu desideri realizzare un patio, modificare il tuo giardino o installare una piscina, prima di imbarcarti in un progetto di ristrutturazione degli esterni, è necessario innanzitutto fissare un budget. Dopodiché si tratta di trovare un’impresa di giardinaggio di fiducia in grado di assisterti e consigliarti, dall’ideazione alla progettazione. Trova qui tante foto e idee per realizzare e arredare lo spazio esterno della tua casa.

Come progettare un giardino e un patio

Quando decidi di rifare o modificare il tuo giardino, è essenziale tener conto di fattori quali lo stile della tua abitazione, il clima della regione in cui vivi e il tempo e budget disponibili per la manutenzione. In primo luogo, bisogna progettare il giardino di modo che rispecchi lo stile della casa: piante e materiali devono armonizzare con la casa e valorizzarne l’aspetto. Le condizioni climatiche determinano la scelta di piante e fiori: se, ad esempio, vivi in una zona calda e piuttosto arida, è meglio optare per delle piante che prediligono un clima caldo e asciutto e che necessitano di poche innaffiature, come le piante grasse oppure l’oleandro, la ginestra o la lavanda. Durante la fase di progettazione non va inoltre trascurata la questione della manutenzione: sia che si prediliga il giardinaggio fai da te o si preferisca affidare gli esterni ad un giardiniere professionista, bisogna assicurarsi di avere il tempo o il budget necessario da dedicare alla cura del giardino. Il modo in cui andrai ad allestire e organizzare il tuo spazio esterno dipende non solo dalla superficie a disposizione ma anche dalle abitudini familiari: se hai dei bambini, puoi dedicare una parte del giardino tutta a loro, installando un prato o un’area giochi. Se invece ami cucinare e mangiare all’aperto e trascorrere momenti piacevoli in compagnia, vale la pena allestire un patio pavimentato munito di un’area barbecue o una cucina esterna. Completo di tavolo e sedie e aggiungendo magari anche una piccola zona lounge e qualche ombrellone, disporrai di un ambiente esterno bello e invitante.

Come arredare il balcone o terrazzo di casa mia

Per chi invece vive in appartamento o in città, dove gli spazi esterni sono limitati, il posto migliore per godersi le belle giornate estive sono sicuramente il balcone e il terrazzo. Grandi o piccoli che siano, è possibile trasformare questi ambienti in vere e proprie oasi. Se hai a tua disposizione un balcone piccolo ma comunque vivibile, la prima cosa da fare è naturalmente valutarne le dimensioni e decidere l’uso a cui destinarlo. Un tavolino e due sedie da bistrot di solito trovano posto in qualsiasi balcone, ideali per la colazione o per un romantico tête-à-tête. Se invece preferisci dedicare il tuo tempo alla lettura e al relax, puoi optare per una comoda poltroncina per esterni completa di poggiapiedi, che puoi usare anche come tavolino. Indipendentemente dalle dimensioni del tuo balcone o terrazzo, l’importante è renderlo accogliente e dargli un tocco personale, ad esempio, aggiungendo piante e fiori in classiche balconette o fioriere oppure in vasi pensili o da parete.

Vale la pena costruire una piscina?

Quando si pensa di installare una piscina nel proprio spazio esterno il fattore principale che va considerato è il clima. Se vivi, ad esempio, in una regione dove fa caldo solo pochi mesi all’anno, molto probabilmente non conviene investire in una piscina esterna interrata. Tenendo in considerazione inoltre la frequenza con la quale tu e la tua famiglia la userete e lo spazio e il budget che avete a disposizione, è opportuno valutare l’acquisto di una minipiscina o una piscina a idromassaggio riscaldata, eventualmente coperta. In questo modo hai la possibilità di goderti momenti di divertimento e relax anche durante le stagioni più fredde. Infine, non dimenticare che qualsiasi piscina richiede la giusta manutenzione e una pulizia regolare.
