Step into this modern kitchen, a masterclass in contrast where the depth of black meets the warmth of walnut. The black cabinetry provides a bold, dramatic backdrop, its sleek finish embodying the essence of contemporary design. This black and walnut kitchen, with its balance of boldness and warmth, creates a visually striking and inviting space that's perfectly modern.
Rudloff Custom BuildersThis European kitchen has several different areas and functions. Each area has its own specific details but are tied together with distinctive farmhouse feel, created by combining medium wood and white cabinetry, different styles of cabinetry, mixed metals, warm, earth toned tile floors, blue granite countertops and a subtle blue and white backsplash. The hand-hammered copper counter on the peninsula ties in with the hammered copper farmhouse sink. The blue azul granite countertops have a deep layer of texture and beautifully play off the blue and white Italian tile backsplash and accent wall. The high gloss black hood was custom-made and has chrome banding. The French Lacanche stove has soft gold controls. This kitchen also has radiant heat under its earth toned limestone floors. A special feature of this kitchen is the wood burning stove. Part of the original 1904 house, we repainted it and set it on a platform. We made the platform a cohesive part of the space defining wall by using a herringbone pattern trim, fluted porcelain tile and crown moulding with roping. The office area’s built in desk and cabinets provide a convenient work and storage space. Topping the room off is a coffered ceiling.
In this classic English Tudor home located in Penn Valley, PA, we renovated the kitchen, mudroom, deck, patio, and the exterior walkways and driveway. The European kitchen features high end finishes and appliances, and heated floors for year-round comfort! The outdoor areas are spacious and inviting. The open trellis over the hot tub provides just the right amount of shelter. These clients were referred to us by their architect, and we had a great time working with them to mix classic European styles in with contemporary, current spaces.

Jane EllisonThe villa kitchen provides the perfect setting. The large window over the sink looks out to a deck dining area. Stainless steel countertops are easy to care for. Warm and cool are combined by setting off the stainless steel faced cabinetry with a deep red wall, wood accents and red sisal rug. Open shelves for often-used dishware allow for convenience as well as a sense of rhythm and repetition, one of Jane's favorite motifs. VESP ArchitectsInternally a palette of existing granite walls has been paired with Jerusalem limestone stone flooring from Mandarin Stone , and wide-plank oak flooring. Existing timber ceiling and roof structures have been retained where possible – retaining the character of the property. Feature panels of black walnut line the kitchen and entrance hall joinery, adding warmth to the calm colour palette. Wood burners were supplied by Kernow Fires .

One of the first Hempcrete block buildings in Cornwall, the dwelling’s unique approach to sustainability employs the latest technologies and philosophies whilst utilising traditional building methods and techniques. Wherever practicable the building has been designed to be ‘cement-free’ and environmentally considerate, with the overriding ambition to have the capacity to be ‘off-grid’.
Wood-fibre boarding was used for the internal walls along with eco-cork insulation and render boards. Lime render and plaster throughout complete the finish.
Externally, there are concrete-free substrates to all external landscaping and a natural pool surrounded by planting of native species aids the diverse ecology and environment throughout the site.
A ground Source Heat Pump provides hot water and central heating in conjunction with a PV array with associated battery storage.

Cook´s Blue - Die blaue Shaker Küche
Zuerst waren die Bodenfliesen, dann ist die Küche gebaut worden. Wir haben diese Küche nach den Wünschen des Kunden an den Raum angepasst. Die Küche ist mit 11m² sehr klein, aber offen zum großen Wohnraum. Die Insel ist der Mittelpunkt der Wohnung, hier werden Plätzchen gebacken, Hausaufgaben gemacht oder in der Sonne gefrühstückt.
Der Kühlschrank und Einbaubackofen wurden aus der alten Küche übernommen, das Gaskochfeld ist neu. Das Kochfeld würde bewusst nicht in die Insel geplant, hier ist später noch eine Haube geplant und dies würde die Küche zu stark vom Wohnraum abtrennen. Der Einbaubackofen wurde bewusst in der Rückseite der Insel "versteckt", so ist er von der Raumseite aus nicht zu sehen.
Die Arbeitsplatten sind aus Eiche, mit durchgehender Lamelle, als Besonderheit wurde hier die Arbeitsplatte der Insel auf dem Sideboard-Schrank fortgeführt. Die Muschelgriffe sind aus England im Industriedesign gehalten. Der Spülstein ist von Villeroy und Boch, 90cm Breit mit 2 Becken, der Geschirrspüler von Miele ist Vollintegriert.
Die ganze Küche ist aus Vollholz und handlackiert mit Farben von Farrow and Ball aus England.
