This room looks like it was done possibly as a "wet" room idea...you could discuss this with the contractors. I like the open concept, but the water control and cabinet protection would be something to discuss with the contractors. You may be able to have a wet room idea with a shower curtain to separate the commode/shower from the sink that would allow incorporation of the commode without something that wold be funky for re-sell. If it is a very open design, I'd recommend a heat light over head because it could get cold in the shower. You could do a rain shower overhead with a hand held shower unit in addition.
