The goal was to totally re-create a space that was both beautiful, that made sense functionally and a place to remind the clients of their vacation time. A peaceful oasis. We knew we wanted to use tile that looks like shiplap. A cost effective way to create a timeless look. By cladding the entire tub shower wall it really looks more like real shiplap planked walls.

TEROTTI Interior Design StudioThe Tranquility Residence is a mid-century modern home perched amongst the trees in the hills of Suffern, New York. After the homeowners purchased the home in the Spring of 2021, they engaged TEROTTI to reimagine the primary and tertiary bathrooms. The peaceful and subtle material textures of the primary bathroom are rich with depth and balance, providing a calming and tranquil space for daily routines. The terra cotta floor tile in the tertiary bathroom is a nod to the history of the home while the shower walls provide a refined yet playful texture to the room.
Haven Design and ConstructionThis stunning master suite is part of a whole house design and renovation project by Haven Design and Construction. The master bath features a 22' cupola with a breathtaking shell chandelier, a freestanding tub, a gold and marble mosaic accent wall behind the tub, a curved walk in shower, his and hers vanities with a drop down seated vanity area for her, complete with hairdryer pullouts and a lucite vanity bench.
ZeroEnergy DesignThe reconfiguration of the master bathroom opened up the space by pairing a platform shower with a freestanding tub. The open shower, wall-hung vanity, and wall-hung water closet create continuous flooring and an expansive feeling. The result is a welcoming space with a calming aesthetic.

This master bath remodel is the cat's meow for more than one reason! The materials in the room are soothing and give a nice vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. We completed a kitchen remodel for this client a few years’ ago and were delighted when she contacted us for help with her master bath!
The bathroom was fine but was lacking in interesting design elements, and the shower was very small. We started by eliminating the shower curb which allowed us to enlarge the footprint of the shower all the way to the edge of the bathtub, creating a modified wet room. The shower is pitched toward a linear drain so the water stays in the shower. A glass divider allows for the light from the window to expand into the room, while a freestanding tub adds a spa like feel.
The radiator was removed and both heated flooring and a towel warmer were added to provide heat. Since the unit is on the top floor in a multi-unit building it shares some of the heat from the floors below, so this was a great solution for the space.
The custom vanity includes a spot for storing styling tools and a new built in linen cabinet provides plenty of the storage. The doors at the top of the linen cabinet open to stow away towels and other personal care products, and are lighted to ensure everything is easy to find. The doors below are false doors that disguise a hidden storage area. The hidden storage area features a custom litterbox pull out for the homeowner’s cat! Her kitty enters through the cutout, and the pull out drawer allows for easy clean ups.
The materials in the room – white and gray marble, charcoal blue cabinetry and gold accents – have a vintage vibe in keeping with the rest of the home. Polished nickel fixtures and hardware add sparkle, while colorful artwork adds some life to the space.

The Shiloh Cabinetry vanity with a Windsor door style in a Stonehenge finish on Alder gives the space a warm, luxurious feel, accessorized with Top Knobs honey bronze finish hardware. The large L-shaped vanity space has ample storage including tower cabinets with a make up vanity in the center. Large beveled framed mirrors to match the vanity fit neatly between each tower cabinet and Savoy House light fixtures are a practical addition that also enhances the style of the space. An engineered quartz countertop, plus Kohler Archer sinks and Kohler Purist faucets complete the vanity area. A gorgeous Strom freestanding tub add an architectural appeal to the room, paired with a Kohler bath faucet, and set against the backdrop of a Stone Impressions Lotus Shadow Thassos Marble tiled accent wall with a chandelier overhead. Adjacent to the tub is the spacious open shower style featuring Soci 3x12 textured white tile, gold finish Kohler showerheads, and recessed storage niches. Mariano & Co., LLCIn this complete floor to ceiling removal, we created a zero-threshold walk-in shower, moved the shower and tub drain and removed the center cabinetry to create a MASSIVE walk-in shower with a drop in tub. As you walk in to the shower, controls are conveniently placed on the inside of the pony wall next to the custom soap niche. Fixtures include a standard shower head, rain head, two shower wands, tub filler with hand held wand, all in a brushed nickel finish. The custom countertop upper cabinet divides the vanity into His and Hers style vanity with low profile vessel sinks. There is a knee space with a dropped down countertop creating a perfect makeup vanity. Countertops are the gorgeous Everest Quartz. The Shower floor is a matte grey penny round, the shower wall tile is a 12x24 Cemento Bianco Cassero. The glass mosaic is called “White Ice Cube” and is used as a deco column in the shower and surrounds the drop-in tub. Finally, the flooring is a 9x36 Coastwood Malibu wood plank tile.
