Award-winning Richmond
After- The bulk of the project centered around the living room which was transformed from two distinct dark caves into one magnificent entertaining room complete with a custom built-in for their television and audio equipment. While reframing this space, one wall was completely removed to join the two rooms together. In addition, the original 30” doorways were opened up to 6’ openings; thus allowing for better traffic flow when entertaining and inviting guests in when entering the house. In order to account for the wall removal, numerous LVL’s were installed as well as two exposed doug fir beams that are visual highlights in the room. Another new feature is the vaulted ceiling with two beautiful skylights. Natural light now pours into this space emphasizing the new cherry flooring and staircase.
