Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.A very small backyard where space was at a premium. Our client wanted a sitting area with fire pit and low maintenance was a priority. We designed a simple stamped concrete fire pit patio that butted up to the corner of the yard and used beautiful natural rock slab step stones to carry from the lower walkout patio to both the fire pit patio and the Rundle side yard. Black mulch and some nice plantings rounded out the project. Easy and clean!!
Painted Fern Garden DesignWith the clients having already cleared most of the site, this front garden offered a blank canvas for designing a planting scheme. Ensuring the site was free of weeds, the soil was improved with organic matter so planting could get off to a good start. A combination of shrubs and perennials were supplemented by a range of bulbs, offering additional interest throughout the year in a small space. A colour scheme of violet blue and orange-yellow was selected, opposites on the colour wheel, but giving a vibrancy to the planting, whilst dark tones were added to give a richness.
The clients were novice gardeners so were looking for low maintenance and easy care plants whilst learning new skills and a developing passion for plants.
Two contemporary galvanised zinc planers in a zingy shade of teal were added to extend the areas of planting outside the front door and the existing driveway. They also added a much-needed shot of colour through the winter months.
Foliage had contrasting textures with plants such as Bergenia and Hydrangea quercifolia showing vibrant colour changes in leaf as the temperatures start to drop.
Varieties of plant were selected for their compact size so they would not require constant pruning and would sit well in their allotted space.

Clarissa Judd GardensStachys byzantina, Heuchera 'Obsidian', Lavandula x intermedia and Euphorbia amygdaloides make a border which looks good year round at the edge of the lawn above the pool, the purple of the Heuchera making the silver Stachys sing. The Stachys is a fabulous plant for the climate in this part of France, never getting that bedraggled look it seems to have all winter in London!

Justine DewitteAménagement du jardin privé pour des particuliers basés à Villennes-sur-Seine. Le jardin entour la maison et est aménagé de petits espaces permettant son utilisation pour différents usages.
La conception est pensée avec une cohérence paysagère de l'ensemble de la parcelle. La maison située au centre du jardin, offre des points de vue sur des scènes du jardin. L'ensemble du paysage amène le visiteur à se tourner vers la Seine, clou du spectacle de ce terrain exceptionnel.
La terrasse en bois surplombe le jardin et est bordée de massifs de vivaces fleuries et naturelles.
Les haies monotones et monospécifiques sont remplacées par des haies champêtres et à leurs pieds des massifs plantés viennent faire du jardin une promenade ponctuée de petits espaces de repos ou de lecture agréable.

Le jardin de pleine terre de 200m² est divisé en deux parties. Les deux zones sont séparées par une haie vive. La première partie, en fond de parcelle est dédié à l'espace de sport pour les enfants, la seconde, en avant plan, est dédiée à la maison, il accueille un carré de potager, un petit coin lecture et une cabane de rangement.

Dagmar Stucke GartengestaltungHier wurde aus einer nur 5 m² kleinen unbewachsenen Brache ein traumhaftes Beet für Kinder, Bienen und Schmetterlinge. Das Beet ist vielfältig mit verschiedenen Bauerngartenstaden bepflanzt. Zudem wurden Ringelblumen, Kornblumen, Jungfer im Grünen und Kosmeen ausgesät.

Container planting is scattered around with annual planting for year-round interest, where a large Olive tree provides height.
The large mirror with wood step blends beautifully and makes believe there's an extension to this small garden.
