Plantings include: California Waxleaf Myrtle (Myrica californica), Dwarf Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo 'Compacta') as the evergreen hedge, and 'Gulf Stream' Heavenly Bamboo (Nandina domestica 'Gulf Stream), Evergold Sedge (Carex m. 'Evergold'), Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata 'Convexa') and Dogwood (Cornus florida).
The flower bed has been mulched with 3" of hardwood bark.

Trädgården anlades av kunden själv hösten 2020 enligt mina ritningar, jag levererade växterna och satte ut dem och de planterades ned av kunden själv. Det ska bli kul att se hur allting utvecklas!
Native Edge LandscapeCustomer wanted to ditch their grass yard in favor of colorful native plants that would create a charming scene for friends and neighbors alike. They dreamed of a gathering space in their front yard that looked out over their native plantings, so we added a seating area with cafe lights and raised steel planters so that the plantings could be enjoyed while seated. Black star gravel was added for furniture and plant contrast, making them pop against the home and landscaping.

UserRemoved layer of landscape fabric, added organic matter to soil and planted six ornamental grasses on back row and five on front row. Once the grasses fill-in it will create a soft screen of varying greens from early spring through fall. This is an excellent and low budget project to improve and bring character to an unused rock bed.
