zinnias fill in color when the other blooms begin to fade gallardia, rudbeckia, etc

8 In late summer, the zinnias provide happy color as the rudbeckia “Indian Summer” and gaillardia are just starting to fade. Russian sage is still bringing in the purplish-blues, while the rest of the perennials start to go to seed.
