Exterior - Siding Color for Brownish Red Roof
After 4 months of interior remodel we are finally done and now need
to address the exterior of the house! After going through lots of
before/after articles I'm still stuck on what I should do to turn this
home more contemporary.
(1) Contemporary Paint Color Scheme
Any
suggestion on what colors to paint this house? The fact
that the roof is brownish red is limiting my choices. Personally, I love
grays but I don't know which will work with this roof (i did play with
visualizer but still confused).
Should I paint the window sills? I'd love a dark color like the image below but my white window sash will likely require me to keep my window sills and trims white?
(2) Siding updates
We plan to square off the garage door frame, but would adding shingles like the image below help?
(3) Landscape
We plan to get
everything trimmed down and shaped...might even remove some of the
bushes on the right hand side. We really don't have time for landscape
maintenance. Is this an area I should invest in to complete the exterior project? (ie. replace current plans with more contemporary landscape design like this..?
